INTEGRATION TALEND (ETL) DEVELOPER (HYBRID PORTO OR LISBON)

Portuguese company hires for hybrid position

Location: Porto or Lisbon, Portugal (preferably Porto)

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site 
For candidates based in Lisbon, the schedule involves working from the office three times a week, with a requirement
to visit the Porto office once or twice a month.

Hiring Model: B2B - Rate: between 2700 - 3000 RV / Unipessoal (gross value)

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Talend

· Build scalable data pipelines across databases, cloud platforms, and APIs

· Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Architects to translate business requirements into technical integration solutions

· Implement data validation, data quality controls, and error-handling mechanisms

· Maintain detailed ETL documentation, mappings, workflows, and operational procedures

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Talend jobs to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability

Required Experience

· 3+ years of experience in ETL development, data integration, or data engineering

· 2+ years of hands-on experience with Talend (Talend Open Studio, Talend Administration Center (TAC), or Talend Cloud)

Functional & Technical Skills

· Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts:

o Star schema

o Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)

o Fact tables

· Ability to translate business requirements into robust and efficient ETL flows

· Experience with API-driven integrations and data exchange formats

· Proficiency with:

o Talend Data Integration (DI)

o Talend Cloud

o Talend ESB

· Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases

· Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs

· Solid knowledge of XML, JSON, and flat-file processing

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

· Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash)

· Experience with ETL best practices, data modeling standards, and Agile/Scrum methodologies

Soft Skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

· Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

· Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

· High attention to detail, quality, and data accuracy
