Hero is an AI-first SaaS platform created to reshape how film and commercial production gets done.

Going from a raw idea to a finished production is hard. Across the entire journey, from ideation and planning to collaboration, stakeholder alignment, client feedback, and execution, creative teams hit friction at every step. Too often, the final deliverable ends up drifting away from the original creative intent.

Hero tackles this by smoothing out the pre-production process and letting creative teams operate more efficiently from concept all the way to execution. It's built for professional production teams working under real budgets and real-world deadlines: creatives, producers, coordinators, and talent all pushing toward a single shared goal. Today the focus is the short-form advertising space, but the long-term ambition is to support the full video production lifecycle.

Instead of trying to win purely on AI-generated video, Hero taps the strongest image, text, and video models available and stitches them together through intelligent workflows and advanced prompting techniques. The real problem it solves is the operational and creative mess that happens before production begins, moving teams seamlessly from idea to set, and ultimately from idea to crew and execution.

A core conviction drives the product: AI amplifies creativity, it doesn't replace it. Human skill, creative judgment, and collaboration are still essential to producing exceptional results. Hero pairs cutting-edge AI capabilities with workflows purpose-built for how real creative teams actually work.

Hero has the backing of Lemonlight, a leading video production company with a track record of more than 50,000 videos delivered for everyone from global brands like Amazon and Walmart to local businesses. Building inside that environment means the product team works shoulder to shoulder with producers, editors, coordinators, and other industry professionals, so the platform is shaped by genuine production needs.

As Hero moves beyond its closed beta phase, the team is doubling down on pre-production logistics, crew management, and talent marketplace solutions. This is a chance to join a fast-growing product at an early stage and help craft the kind of innovative, zero-to-one solutions that will define the future of video production.

Why we're hiring

We're scaling the team and investing seriously in deployment processes and architecture designed for 2027-style unlocks, not 2025 habits.

We're looking for someone interdisciplinary, self-directed, and a strong coach. You'll spend most of your time shipping to production, but you'll also sharpen every part of our PDLC to push autonomy and velocity up across the whole org. You'll set the template for a new chapter in product development as a full-stack builder who can move fluidly between product, design, and engineering.

What you'll do

Level up the P/SDLC, end to end.  Spot the friction points, author skill files, integrate new tools, measure performance, and clear blockers for everyone, everywhere. The outcome we need is a step-function jump in how fast the team gets from idea to deployment, plus stronger builder autonomy.

Ship and deploy.  Partner with PXMs on specifications and problems, then deliver full-stack solutions. The outcome is that customer and business metrics get hit, and you can carry this entirely on your own.

Mentor and grow the team.  Lead by demonstrating your own excellence first, then turn around and pass those methods on. The outcome is that every teammate's individual skills grow.

Innovate and drive value.  Put on your product hat, define your own experiments in alignment with our strategy, gather the data you need, and drive outcomes. The outcome is that you embody the full-stack builder who blends engineering and PXM skills.

Nice to have

• Leadership chops.  Teams you've led with a clear mission, and outcomes you personally owned and won.
• Film chops.  A background in the film or video industry.
• Image and video model chops.  Hands-on experience with image and video model APIs in front of real customers.
• Chaining and harnessing chops.  A real grasp of chaining prompts and models around user jobs to be done and each model's strengths.
• Ops chops.  A proven track record in DevOps or Product Ops.
• Proven velocity.  Evidence from past work that you more than 2x'd a team's deployment velocity.
• Design chops.  Visual design ability or design system management for the AI era.
• Product chops.  Product sense and the ability to spot strategic opportunities and take them to market yourself.

The team is 2 PXMs, 7 engineers, and 2 PXMs. 

Most of the team is in Poland, with 2 people in LA, and we're expanding both locations.

• Customers → Team → You. Default to what's right for the customer. A decision that's good for you but bad for the customer is the wrong decision.
• Play is a KPI. Play is the natural outcome of the whole machine working well. If we aren't laughing (ourselves included), something went wrong. There's no greater compliment than a customer truly playing with Hero.
• Teamwork is the superpower. No individual can outperform a team that clicks. When in doubt, help your teammate.
