About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in Family Practice at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive, patient‑centered care for individuals and families across all stages of life. You will work closely with providers and the care team to support preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care needs, and patient education. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys building long‑term relationships with patients and helping them achieve their health goals.
Schedule & Work Environment
Full‑time position, Monday–Thursday, 8:00AM – 6:00PM. No weekends, holidays, or overnight shifts. Hours may vary based on provider and departmental needs. The environment is a collaborative primary‑care setting focused on continuity of care and patient wellness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and clinical support to patients within the family practice setting.
- Assess patient needs, obtain health histories, document clinical information, and perform nursing interventions within scope of practice.
- Administer medications, immunizations, injections, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care activities.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, medication refills, and follow‑up appointments.
- Educate patients regarding preventive care, chronic disease management, medications, and treatment plans.
- Respond to patient phone calls, portal messages, and clinical inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Support care coordination efforts and population health initiatives.
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support family practice operations.
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in primary care, family practice, ambulatory care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care.
