What you´ll build 

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. 

Position Title: SAP iXP Intern - Support Engineer - Next Gen Ariba

Location: São Leopoldo, Brazil 

Key tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Enable customers to implement and operate their SAP solutions efficiently 
• Provide solutions to technical and functional issues, as well as consulting on procedural queries, impacting customers' use of SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, or SAP Fieldglass 
• Perform root cause analysis of reported incidents and handle escalated customer issues 
• Report errors and code defects to development organizations, collaborating to prioritize fixes and validate solutions 
• Collaborate closely with other SAP Lines of Business (LOBs) to ensure great customer service 
• Participate in global projects around support processes, infrastructure requirements, and quality assurance 
• Provide ongoing and timely communication with customers across all supported channels (phone, ticketing system, expert chat) 
• Stay curious and committed to continuous learning, following a personal development plan and finding growth opportunities in daily tasks 
• Act in accordance with SAP Support Strategy and Culture, and adhere to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Experience in Support, Consulting, Software Development, IT, or Quality Assurance 
• Experience in customer-facing roles, including the ability to listen, engage in real-time, and effectively handle difficult interactions 
• Outstanding communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English required 
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with changing priorities in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment 
• Experience using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate root cause analysis, interpret error messages, and suggest resolution paths 
• Ability to leverage AI-generated suggestions critically, validating outputs before applying them in customer-facing contexts 
• Ability to troubleshoot reported issues by gathering symptoms, narrowing down causes, and finding workarounds 
• Ability to analyze logs based on error codes and write basic SQL queries for data investigation 
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging common web browsers

The Proactive Support and Innovation team plays a key role in SAP’s customer success by preventing future issues, strengthening technical knowledge, and driving continuous improvement across support operations. By combining proactive problem-solving, knowledge management, innovation, and product expertise, the team helps ensure a better customer experience while enabling SAP teams to work more effectively. 

Working closely with teams across SAP, we create and enhance technical documentation, test internal systems, develop product expertise, and contribute to innovation projects that support SAP’s vision and goals. We also embrace new processes, technologies, and ways of working, while sharing knowledge and feedback to continuously improve our solutions and deliver greater value to customers and internal teams worldwide.
