Position Overview:
This role is responsible for managing all tax matters, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations while supporting Sailun´s business growth. The position plays a key advisory role, providing guidance on tax-efficient business models, liaising with tax authorities to secure incentives or refunds, and coordinating with headquarters on reporting and global tax initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work independently to resolve tax-related issues and take full ownership of local tax compliance.
- Proactively collaborate with business operations teams to advise on optimal business models from a tax efficiency perspective, including but not limited to contract reviews, business model structuring, logistics flows, and invoice issuance.
- Liaise with tax authorities and other relevant administrations to apply for tax incentives or refunds where applicable, supporting business development across Brazil.
- Actively participate in the development of Brazil's tax information system and the configuration of tax rules.
- Report local tax matters and issues regularly to the headquarters tax team.
- Assist headquarters and/or local agents in preparing Pillar II filings or registrations where necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional tax experience with strong technical knowledge.
- Experience in tax matters and within the automotive trading industry is a plus.
- Experience with launching a tax information system is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
