Storage Specialist - Detalhes da Vaga. ● The ideal candidate will be a deep subject matter expert in software-defined storage (SDS) and modern storage technologies, responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the data storage systems. ●Key Responsibilities:Architect & Design: Design, deploy, and manage petabyte-scale storage solutions based on Ceph, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability to meet the demands of our telecom services. ●Infrastructure Management: Take full ownership of our storage environment, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and life cycle management of storage hardware and software. ●Virtualization & Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize storage resources within our Apache CloudStack environment, ensuring seamless integration with our virtualization layer (KVM, VMware). ●Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor, identify, and troubleshoot complex storage performance issues, with a focus on latency-sensitive applications. ● Leverage expertise in NVMe and RAID configurations to maximize data throughput and reliability. ●Automation & Efficiency: Develop and maintain automation scripts (using Python, Bash, or Ansible) for storage provisioning, monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks to improve operational efficiency. ●Network & System Administration: Utilize strong Linux administration and networking skills to configure and troubleshoot storage-related network services (iSCSI, NFS, S3) and ensure robust connectivity and data integrity. ●Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for storage architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures. ●Requirements:CEPH: Proven, hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Ceph clusters in a production environment. ● Deep understanding of Ceph architecture (OSDs, MONs, RGW, RBD). ●Virtualization: Strong experience with virtualization platforms, preferably KVM. ●CLOUDSTACK: Demonstrable experience managing storage within an Apache CloudStack ecosystem. ●Linux: Expert-level Linux administration skills (Red Hat, CentOS, or similar distributions). ●Network: Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, bonding) and storage networking protocols. ●RAID: In-depth knowledge of various RAID levels and their practical application for performance and redundancy. ●NVMe: Hands-on experience with NVMe devices and understanding of NVMe-oF (over Fabrics) is a significant plus. ●Please, send you CV in English.
