Lead Software Engineer: Automotive Solutions
Cadence Design Systems, Inc.
Description : Technically lead the team of software engineers: making technical decisions to define software and architectural solutions.
Develop and test object-oriented C++ applications.
Contribute to the definition of requirements for safety applications and product development.
Mentor individual contributors to grow the team, develop talent, and retain top performers.
Requirements:
Complete Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4 years of development experience in C/C++ environments.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles and patterns
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce, SVN), issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and a solid understanding of Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CI/CD) DevOps practices in cross-platform development environments (Microsoft Windows and Linux).
Familiarity with other programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, TCL)
Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Interest and ability to work in a cross-disciplinary environment to learn and solve complex challenges
Passion for building and leading a motivated team, fostering their development and well-being, and driving them toward success
Nice To Have:
Experience with the Qt framework.
Previous experience leading a software development team.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, particularly for desktop applications.
