SAP PPDS Consultant

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP PPDS Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS/ePPDS) , preferably in an S/4HANA environment . This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to design, configure, and implement advanced planning solutions that optimize manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and support of SAP PPDS solutions in S/4HANA environments.

• Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements and provide the best SAP-based planning and scheduling solutions.

• Configure PPDS functionalities such as heuristic-based planning, optimizer-based planning, block planning, and capacity leveling.

• Optimize master data such as resource capacities, production versions, PDS (Production Data Structures), and PPMs (Production Process Models) .

• Integrate PPDS with other SAP modules like PP, MM, SD, and EWM for seamless production planning.

• Provide expertise in Order-based and Time-continuous Scheduling , pegging strategies, and alert monitoring.

• Support CIF (Core Interface) integration between SAP ERP and PPDS.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring smooth business operations.

• Conduct user training and create documentation for system configurations and processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP PPDS implementation and support.

• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA PPDS , including DS Board, PPDS Optimizer, Planning Procedures, and Interactive Planning .

• Experience in CIF integration between SAP ECC/S4HANA and PPDS.

• Solid understanding of production planning processes , including Make-to-Order (MTO), Make-to-Stock (MTS), and Repetitive Manufacturing .

• Hands-on experience in heuristics, capacity leveling, and scheduling strategies .

• Strong knowledge of SAP PP/MM and integration with EWM .

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP PPDS certification .

• Experience with Industry-specific solutions such as Automotive, Consumer Goods, or Manufacturing.

• Knowledge of SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) and APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization).
