Summary The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and integrating SAP applications within utility enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, S/4HANA, APIs, OData services, and enterprise integrations. In this role they will be supporting utility business processes such as billing, customer service, metering, payments, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities Lead the technical design and implementation of SAP solutions across S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Service Cloud V2 Architect clean core, upgrade-safe extensibility using ABAP, OData, RAP, and SAP-recommended extension frameworks Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions for utility industry applications. Build and enhance custom developments in SAP ECC, SAP IS-U, and S/4HANA environments. Development of reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, OData services, APIs. Design scalable, high-performance architectures that support enterprise and utility-specific requirements. Serve as the technical point of contact for complex initiatives, guiding development teams and solution partners. Ensure solutions align with SAP best practices, security standards, and long-term platform roadmaps. Collaborate with functional leads, architects, and business stakeholders .

Required Qualifications Must have advanced communication skills in English to interact with SEW teams Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable to communicate with LATAM teams Strong SAP ABAP development experience. Strong expertise in: SAP ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV Reports, BAPIs/BADIs/User Exits, SmartForms/Adobe Forms, RFCs/IDocs, enhancements Framework Strong expertise in OData services, REST APIs, and SAP integration patterns Experience implementing clean core–compliant extensibility Knowledge of SAP IS-U in utility enterprise environments preferred but not required Solid understanding of SAP BTP, including extension, integration, and API management services Strong background in system integration, performance tuning, and scalability
