We are looking for a Data Engineer Senior (Data Backbone).

In this role you will:

• Act as the go-to expert for data engineering within the team
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance data pipelines
• Lead architecture decisions and define best practices for data solutions
• Drive technical excellence across data platforms and tools
• Hands-On Development
• Develop and optimize complex ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
• Work with large-scale distributed systems and cloud-based data platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical data issues with a proactive approach
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems
• Ownership & Initiative
• Take full ownership of data-related challenges and drive them to resolution
• Identify opportunities for improvements and implement innovative solutions
• Anticipate risks and act before issues impact delivery
• Team Coordination & Mentorship
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other data engineers
• Coordinate team efforts to ensure alignment with project goals
• Support code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams

Mandatory Skills:

• Leadership experience;
  
  
• Cloud Platforms & Services: AWS (Glue, Lambda, Redshift, RDS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3)
• Data Processing & Programming: Spark, PySpark, SQL
• Data Modeling & Architecture: Data warehousing, Data lakes, Data pipelines
• Additional Data Skills: Data quality frameworks (SODA, Great Expectations)
• Project Management & Methodologies: Agile (Scrum, SAFe), Jira, Confluence
• Languages & Tools: Python, SQL
• Languages: Fluent English

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

• Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD: Terraform, Jenkins
• Other Cloud Platforms (Optional): Azure, Google Cloud
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, Problem-solving mindset, Collaborative attitude
