Chemical Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure full technical and regulatory governance of chemical products, maintaining strict compliance with legal, environmental, and safety standards. This role includes managing controlled substances in accordance with ANP and Federal Police requirements, acting as the technical responsible before the CRQ, and overseeing the full chemical lifecycle — from import and validation to storage, traceability, and disposal.
Key responsibilities include :
Manage chemical regulatory compliance and controlled substances (ANP, Federal Police)
Act as technical responsible before CRQ (registration, MOC, RCA, CAPA)
Control inventory, storage, handling, and traceability of chemical products
Conduct inspections and oversee chemical waste management and reporting (IBAMA)
Support internal/external audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Validate suppliers, review SDS, and support import/export operations
Develop SOPs, perform risk assessments, and deliver safety training (GHS, NR-20, NR-26) REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
Proven experience in chemical management in manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of chemical regulations and safety standards (GHS, SDS)
Experience with environmental and chemical waste management
Knowledge of root cause analysis and change management (MOC)
Advanced English proficiency
Active CRQ registration
Advanced Excel and Office 365 skills
