Title: Data Engineer
Location : Remote from anywhere in Brazil as long as candidate able to work in US (CST) Hours Description: This position is geared more around Data Engineering side of things. We have a lot of pipelines that we support and the ideal candidate would be working along with helping efforts related to light software solutions we may be actioning. They should have working experience with Snowflake. A plus would be for the person to have familiarity with Python which normally goes hand in hand with data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Develop, construct, test, and maintain efficient data pipelines using Snowflake, Python and SQL.
Design and implement cloud-based data solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems.
Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
Document data processes and maintain best practices for cloud coding.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Snowflake, Python and SQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native data services.
Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing.
Experience working with DB’s like Postgres or Teradata.
Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working within large-scale customer support or service environments.
Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
Knowledge of machine learning integration is a plus.
