Overview of the role
The Senior Backend Engineer (Java) position focuses on designing and developing sophisticated, scalable backend systems using Java technologies. This role involves leading technical initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and creating high-performance, robust solutions that address complex business challenges while implementing microservices architectures and ensuring technical excellence across the team.
Key responsibilities
- Architecting and implementing complex, scalable backend services using Java and related technologies.
- Leading technical design and implementation of enterprise-level software solutions.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the team's technical excellence and best practices.
- Designing and optimizing database schemas and data access strategies for performance and scalability.
- Implementing microservices architectures and cloud-native applications.
- Conducting comprehensive code reviews and ensuring high-quality, maintainable code across projects.
Requirements
- Backend Development: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java backend development.
- Java Ecosystem: Strong expertise in Java ecosystem and enterprise application design.
- Architecture Knowledge: Advanced understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Modern Frameworks: Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms.
- Database Expertise: Proficiency in database design and optimization techniques.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced level of English.
