Senior Data Governance Consultant | Wholesale Banking
Key Responsibilities:Support the implementation and evolution of Data Governance frameworks across Wholesale Banking domains.Collaborate with business and technology teams to improve Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and Governance processes.Contribute to the integration and alignment of local and global data platforms, standards, and operating models.Participate in governance forums, working groups, and stakeholder discussions.Support Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business teams in adopting governance best practices.Monitor governance KPIs and contribute to Data Quality, Controls, Compliance, and Data Management maturity initiatives.Facilitate workshops, assessments, and requirements-gathering sessions related to governance topics.Act as a trusted advisor for business and technology stakeholders on Data Governance matters.Support the maintenance and evolution of Data Catalogs, Business Glossaries, Metadata Repositories, and Governance tooling.Define, monitor, and remediate Data Quality controls and indicators.Ensure proper classification, documentation, traceability, and lifecycle management of critical data assets.Promote the adoption of Governance standards, policies, and operating procedures across business domains.Collaborate with business areas to define business terms, metrics, and critical data elements.
Technical Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Strategy, or related disciplines;
Previous experience within: Financial Institutions, Investment Banking, Wholesale Banking, Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk, Payments and Other regulated financial environments;
Solid understanding of: Data Quality, Metadata Management,Metadata Management,Business Glossary,Data Lineage, Master & Reference Data,Data Security & Privacy,Data Stewardship,Data Catalog Management;
Experience with Data Governance and Catalog tools such as: Collibra,Alation,Informatica EDC,Microsoft Purview,Similar Governance Solutions;
Understanding of modern data architectures: Data LakesLakehouse, ETL / ELT, APIs, Cloud-based Data Platforms;
Experience working with both Business and Technology stakeholders;
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to operate in complex, cross-functional, and international environments.
⭐ Nice to Have:Experience in Corporate Banking, Treasury, Markets, Risk, or Finance domains.Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK principles.Experience working with global data platforms and multinational organizations.Knowledge of: LGPD, GDPR, BCBS 239,Similar Regulatory FrameworksCloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).CDMP or similar Data Governance certifications.Experience with Data Mesh concepts and operating models.Knowledge of: AI Governance, Model Governance, Responsible AI, Model Risk Management (MRM), AI Risk Management, EU AI Act, Emerging AI Regulatory Frameworks,Oxethica certification in AI Ethics, AI Governance, AI Regulation & Compliance, AI Model Governance, or equivalent certifications.
