Technical Assistant

About The Job

The Technical Assistant will serve as a key member of the team, performing equipment testing and repairs, carrying out projects and applications of controls and instruments under technical parameters, and working under collaboration with our global colleagues.

Working Tasks and Responsibilities

• Carrying out equipment testing and repair activities in accordance with DEIF’s technical processes, ensuring formal process requirements are met and keeping internal record systems up to date.
• Managing projects and applications of controls and instruments, developing technical specifications for equipment according to customer requirements.
• Providing technical support and service to internal and external customers, by telephone or in person.
• Carrying out commissioning, installation, start-up and field technical assistance.
• Preparing training materials and conducting training sessions for customers, either at DEIF facilities or at our customers’ sites.
• Specifying necessary components for repair, application or technical support of equipment for customer quotation.
• Providing technical support to the sales department as needed.
• Preparing technical documentation for the execution and sale of product applications and related projects.

What You’ll Bring

• Technical training in electrical/ electronic fields. Higher education (University Degree) is an advantage.
• Experience in the technical field, preferably in power generation – electrical/electronic.
• Experience in preparing technical reports and handling client interactions.
• Ability to communicate in English – both writing and speaking.
• Self-motivated, with excellent communication skills.
• Well-organized, with a hand-on/proactive approach and a strong team player.
• Good understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
