Position Summary

The

Transportation Planner

is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and execution of transportation planning activities, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective freight movement across the logistics network. This role plays a critical part in optimizing transportation flows, managing carrier relationships, resolving operational exceptions, and supporting service excellence through proactive planning and execution. The ideal candidate combines strong operational execution, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment while interacting with internal stakeholders and external transportation partners. Key Responsibilities

Execute transportation planning activities to ensure efficient freight movement and service continuity.

Build, optimize, and manage transportation loads and routing plans.

Coordinate directly with carriers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance.

Monitor shipment execution and proactively resolve transportation disruptions, delays, or operational exceptions.

Manage transportation schedules and support appointment coordination when required.

Maintain transportation systems updated with accurate shipment and carrier information.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Warehousing, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to ensure operational alignment.

Analyze transportation performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with transportation procedures, service requirements, and operational standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in

Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields .

Previous experience in

Transportation Planning, Logistics Operations, Supply Chain, Freight Coordination, or Carrier Management .

Experience interacting directly with carriers and transportation partners.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage operational issues in dynamic environments.

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with logistics systems.

Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written) .

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within

FMCG, food & beverage, manufacturing, transportation, or logistics companies .

Exposure to

Transportation Management Systems (TMS) , ERP systems, or logistics platforms.

Knowledge of transportation routing, freight management, and logistics planning processes.

Experience in high-volume operational environments.
