Integration Architect

This is a fully remote position and independent contractor (PJ). Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands on experience designing APIs (REST/JSON) and service based integrations
• Experience with cloud integration platforms and middleware solutions
• Deep understanding of integration patterns (sync/async, event driven, pub/sub, orchestration, transformation)
• Experience with security concepts including OAuth, JWT, certificates, encryption, and secure data exchange
• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, Azure Integration Services
• Experience with API Management platforms
• Knowledge of messaging and event platforms (Service Bus, queues, topics) Job Description The Integration Architect is responsible for collaborating on the design, architecture, and governance of enterprise integration solutions across cloud, SaaS, on prem, and partner ecosystems with guidance from the Enterprise Integration Architect . This role bridges business and IT by translating business needs into scalable, secure, and resilient integration architectures, while establishing standards, patterns, and best practices across the integration landscape. The Integration Architect partners closely with engineering teams, product owners, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders to enable reliable data exchange, real time integrations, and future ready platform capabilities. Job Duties:
• Design and architect enterprise-wide integrations across:
o Cloud, SaaS, ERP, and partner systems
• Build and maintain:
o Integration patterns, standards, and reusable frameworks
• Lead architectural decisions using:
o APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, middleware
• Create documentation:
o Solution designs, sequence diagrams, data flows
• Provide oversight to:
o Engineering and delivery teams
• Translate business needs into:
o Scalable technical integration solutions
• Ensure integrations meet:
o Performance, security, reliability, and monitoring standards
• Partner cross-functionally:
o Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Data teams
