Reporting to Regional Quality Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams, including laboratory technicians. Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. Ensure compliance with Brazilian and international regulatory requirements applicable to food color manufacturing. Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. Review and approve product specifications, raw material specifications, packaging specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and finished product releases. Develop, review, and maintain laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and testing methodologies. Monitor laboratory and production compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Manage preventive maintenance and calibration programs for laboratory equipment. Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Partner with Production to troubleshoot process and quality-related issues. Lead internal, customer, certification, and third-party audits, ensuring timely responses to audit findings. Manage customer quality questionnaires and provide technical support and product application guidance. Support new product development and identify opportunities for R&D projects. Coordinate product recall activities when required. Ensure all QA/QC documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant. Develop, mentor, and train quality personnel while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Prepare quality metrics and reports for executive leadership.
