About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented LATAM Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple countries in the region. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements. You will work closely with internal finance teams and external partners, supporting day-to-day accounting activities while contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Support the full month-end close process for assigned LATAM entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet and intercompany accounts Review and validate transactions across AP, AR, billing, and financial operations Maintain alignment between Oracle and local statutory books Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation Execute tax accounting activities and support statutory compliance across LATAM Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Sales Operations, Tax, Legal, and external providers Requirements CPA (or equivalent certification) required Bachelor's degree in Accounting Minimum 4 years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP / IFRS and accounting operations Experience with AP processes and balance sheet reconciliations Solid understanding of LATAM tax and statutory compliance (Brazil experience preferred) Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Fluent in English and Portuguese Sycomp is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
